Our 009 layout which dates back to the 1970s
Gwynedd is our 009 layout which dates back to the 1970s that we have been restoring and exhibiting at our show in recent years. The main era of the layout is around the 1970s/80s with most of the track work being the original hand built track that still works most of the time, our rolling stock has also expanded over the years to include a variety of Ready-to-Run, kitbuilt, and scratchbuilt of both British and foreign narrow gauge.
UPDATES:
August 2026 Update;
We took Gwynedd to the Crich Model Railway and Tram show which was a resounding success, a few mninor fau;lts were found towards the end of the show but we hope to have them rectified shortly. We have also been looking at building a new section to add on to one end so we are able to use the full area of the cupboards where we store the layout.
November Update;
As some of you are aware, we recently took Gwynedd to Narrow Gauge Now in October, which was a massive success with many people commenting how nice it looked.
September Update;
Not much has happened over this month except for a few running sessions, but we did get the good news that we are going to Narrow Gauge Now at the end of October!
August Update;
We have had Gwynedd out several times in August with test runs to locate any faults with one being found in the entrance to the station yard which has been rectified.
